During the COVID-19 pandemic, his contributions—such as food distribution, assistance to migrant workers, and providing masks and sanitizers—were particularly commendable. The 2020-2021 period was extremely challenging for India, with lockdowns disproportionately affecting laborers and the economically weaker sections.
